How to get to Minsk

You can travel to Minsk by air, railroad, buses and cars easily - there are many routes from the majority of European and CIS countries.

By plane to Minsk national airport
Majority of the participants will likely be arriving to Belarus by plane - when arriving at the Minsk National Airport from any EU country and a host of other countries, you do not need a visa to Belarus, if you also depart by plane and your trip is for no more than 5 days. By plane to Vilnius airport
Vilnius Airport is situated in 180 km from Minsk. Sometimes tickets to Vilnius are less expensive than to Minsk. Vilnius airport operates flight of Ryanair, Wizzair, Air Baltic, Scandinavian airlines, Brussels Airlines, Finnair, LOT, Ukraine International Airlines, among others.

From Vilnius airport to Minsk by train (you will need a visa)
The fastest option is to buy a train ticket. There are around 5 trains daily. The trip can take from 2,5 to 4,5 hours. The price is around 15-25 eur. To see the schedule and to buy tickets, go to the website rw.by/en. The tickets can be bought not earlier than 45 days before the trip. Lithuanian-Belarusian border control is held at the train station in Vilnius, so don’t forget to arrive at least 40 minutes before the departure. You will have to show your passport with a valid Belarusian visa there and the printed ticket. Belarusian border control will be held in the train.

From Vilnius airport to Vilnius train/bus station (they are next to one another) can be reached within 10-15 minutes by train or a bus/minibus for 1 eur.

From Vilnius airport to Minsk by bus (you will need a visa)
Also you can take a bus from Vilnius to Minsk. It will take longer because of the border control (4,5-5 hours), the price is 15-20 eur.

By train to Minsk

There is a great international railway service in Belarus. You can arrive in Minsk from almost every big EU and CIS city. The Central Train Station is located in the very city center, metro Ploschad Lenina (Lenin Square, No115). Here you can see the schedule and buy a ticket rw.by/en.

By bus to Minsk (Central bus station)
